Artist Clement Valla has captured these bizarre distorted images of bridges as rendered by Google Earth. Valla recognizes the distortions as artifacts of an imperfect yet ever improving rendering technology. For this reason the images are artifacts in another sense, a soon-to-be record of when technology could not totally immerse us in illusion. Check this guy out, he's got some interesting ideas!
